Austin Trotman
(Mount Tabor '07) continued his outstanding senior wrestling season at Appalachian State and reached a major milestone Monday in dual matches against Cleveland State and Campbell.
Trotman, wrestling at 184 pounds, pinned Cleveland State's Corbin Boone in 20 seconds in his first match, and then registered an 18-3 technical fall against Campbell's TeShaun Johnson for his 114th career victory, tying the school record.
He will have a chance to set the record Saturday, when ASU wrestles at the Lone Star Duals in Grand Prairie.
Trotman has a 23-3 record this season and is No. 9 in the nation at 184 pounds in the InterMat Wrestling rankings.
