»  Comments | Post a Comment

Jordan Daniels scored a career-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Boston College to a 64-60 victory against No. 15 Florida State on Wednesday night.

The loss snapped the Seminoles' win streak at seven games.

BC (8-16, 3-7 ACC) had lost six in a row and nine of its previous 11. It had not beaten a ranked team in three years.

But the Eagles took the lead midway through the first half and fell behind only briefly in the second, running their lead to eight points and holding on.

Michael Snaer scored 16 for Florida State. But he shot 6-for-18 from the floor and made one of seven 3-point attempts.

No. 2 Syracuse 64, Georgetown 61, OT: Kris Joseph scored a career-high 29 points, hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute of overtime, as Syracuse beat Georgetown to give coach Jim Boeheim his 880th win.

Boeheim took sole possession of third place all-time in Division I, one more than North Carolina's Dean Smith, but it wasn't easy against the Orange's rival.

No. 7 Kansas 68, No. 6 Baylor 54: Jeff Withey scored a career-high 25 points and Kansas went ahead to stay during a stretch without Thomas Robinson as the Jayhawks had another convincing victory against Baylor in Waco, Texas.

After a 14-3 run over the final 41/2 minutes of the first half with Robinson on the bench to take its first lead, Kansas (19-5, 9-2 Big 12) scored 14 consecutive points early in the second half to take control.

No. 11 Michigan State 77, Penn State 57: Draymond Green had 23 points and 12 rebounds and made some timely shots to help Michigan State pull away from visiting Penn State in East Lansing, Mich.

The Spartans (19-5, 8-3 Big Ten) are a game behind conference-leading and third-ranked Ohio State, setting up a big game Saturday on the road against the Buckeyes.

No. 22 Michigan 62, Nebraska 46: Zack Novak scored 14 points to go over 1,000 for his career to lead Michigan past host Nebraska in Lincoln.

The Wolverines (18-7, 8-4) outscored Nebraska 15-4 to start the second half and went on to only their second win in six Big Ten road games. The Cornhuskers (11-12, 3-9) lost their third straight.

Davidson CC 84, Sandhills CC 77: Maurice Nash scored 21 points and Tevin Richardson scored 20 as Davidson Community College slipped past visiting Sandills Community College.

Torian Showers also scored 15 points for DCCC.

Delaware 71, UNC Wilmington 53: Devon Saddler scored 24 points as Delaware defeated UNC Wilmington in Newark for its third consecutive win.
