3-A Central Regional: Taylor Penzer of Northern Guilford fired a 5-over 77 on Monday to take medalist honors at The Meadowlands in Wallburg, while host Ledford won the team title by four strokes.
Penzer's round of 37-40 was one stroke better than Rebecca Wiley of Cardinal Gibbons, who shot 78 to take second. Morgan Brock of Ledford was third individually with an 80.
Ledford also got an 86 from Alexis Kershaw and a 92 from Meghan Holbrooks to finish with a team score of 258 and take one of the four team qualifying spots for the 3-A state tournament.
Northern Guilford finished second in the team standings at 262, followed by Cardinal Gibbons with 269 and Western Alamance with 285.
