Tyler Zupcic went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, and Daniel Kassouf was 3-for-4 to help Appalachian State get past College of Charleston 8-5 on Saturday afternoon.
The score was tied 4-4 after the fifth, but the Mountaineers scored three runs in the sixth.
Preston Troutman reached on an error by shortstop Jamie Holler.
With two outs, Hector Crespo singled, moving Troutman to third. Crespo stole second, and Zupcic followed with a single to drive in Troutman and Zupcic, making the score 6-4.
Trey Holmes singled, and Zupcic moved to third. Matt Pegler came in to pitch for Daniel Peterson, and with Jack Myers batting, Zupcic stole home, making the score 7-4.
College of Charleston tacked on a run in the seventh to close to 7-5, but Appalachian added a run in the ninth.
Kassouf doubled, Doug Jones came in to pinch run, and Troutman followed with a triple.
Wake Forest 6, Duke 5 (susp., 10): Carlos Lopez hit a solo home run off reliever Ben Grisz in the 10th inning at Durham Bulls Athletic Park to give Wake Forest the lead, but the game was then suspended because of rain, lightning and hail.
The game is scheduled to resume today at noon, with the regularly scheduled game to follow.
Wake Forest had a 5-1 lead with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Starter Tim Cooney was cruising toward his fourth consecutive victory, but Duke scored four runs to tie the game and force extra innings.
In the top of the 10th, Lopez, the designated hitter, homered to make the score 6-5 before play was stopped.
The Blue Devils took a 1-0 lead in the first, but the Deacons scored four in the third.
Brett Armour and Pat Blair walked against starter Dennis O'Grady. Conor Keniry hit a two-run double to drive in Armour and Blair for a 2-1 lead. Steven Brooks walked, and Matt Conway singled to load the bases.
Mac Williamson followed with a sacrifice fly to drive in Keniry, and Lopez scored Brooks with a sacrifice.
Blair hit a solo homer in the fourth for a 5-1 lead.

Georgia Tech 9, North Carolina 8: Georgia Tech scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth to come back to defeat North Carolina in Atlanta.
With Tech down 8-7, Mott Hyde singled off reliever Greg Holt to drive in Connor Winn with the tying run.
Sam Dove then scored the winning run on a single by Daniel Palka.
Palka was 4-for-5 with a run and two RBIs for the Yellow Jackets, Zane Evans was 2-for-2, Kyle Wren was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, and Hyde was 2-for-5.
Levi Michael and Jesse Wierzbicki each had two RBIs to lead North Carolina.
DeAndre Smelter picked up the win for the Yellow Jackets, pitching two innings and giving up no runs on one hit with a walk and no strikeouts. Holt took the loss without recording an out in the ninth.
ECU 7, Delaware State 1: Seth Maness tied the East Carolina record for career wins and moved into second place on the strikeouts list, and Philip Clark went 2-for-5 with two RBIs in ECU's nonconference win in Greenville.
Maness pitched six innings for his 35th win, tying Winfred Johnson (1983-86) for the record, and stuck out three to raise his total to 320.
ECU (33-17) led 5-0 by the fifth, and Trent Whitehead, Zach Wright and Mike Ussery added two hits each in the win.
