Hultzen (12-3) pitched 5 1/3 innings, an outing interrupted by a lightning delay of 1 hour, 23 minutes.
He allowed three hits and singled home the second run for the Cavaliers (53-9).
Matt Summers (11-3) allowed five runs, and his nine-game winning streak ended.
He also returned after the long delay, already trailing 2-0. King broke it open in the sixth when he followed singles by Kenny Swab and David Coleman with a blast just inside the foul pole down the left-field line.
