The NBA has released its 2011-12 schedule despite being in a lockout that could last months and cause it to be scrapped.
The champion Dallas Mavericks will open the season — if it begins on time — at home on Nov. 1 against MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. Dallas will play host to Miami in a finals rematch on Christmas Day.
Owners and players are still well apart in negotiations on a labor deal to replace the one that expired June 30.
Regular-season games could be lost to a work stoppage for the second time in league history.
The Charlotte Bobcats will open the season in Orlando on Nov. 2. Seven of the Bobcats' first 12 games will be at Time Warner Cable Arena, including the home opener Nov. 4 against Milwaukee.
All Bobcats home games will begin at 7 p.m., with the exception of the Jan. 16 Martin Luther King Day game against the Houston Rockets (2 p.m.), the April 15 game against Boston (6 p.m.) and the April 18 finale against Detroit (8 p.m.).
