l James Stoneman of Winston-Salem registered his first victory of the season in the touring Classic Gear Jammers series, topping Adam Hull of Mount Airy in the final round last Saturday at Wilkesboro Raceway Park.
Jay Reins of Wilkesboro was the winner in WRP's featured Top Eliminator Division.
l Austin Dillon of Lewisville was the winner in Saturday's Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series race at 311 Fastrack in Pine Hall. It was Dillon's second victory in the touring Carolina Clash Series at 311 this year.
Other winners at 311 were Robbie Stevens of Madison (Crate Late Model "A" Main); Tony Hicks of Mount Airy (Crate Late Model "B" Main), Jay Foley of Stuart, Va. (Limited Sportsman) and Jason Whicker of Pilot Mountain (U-Car).
l Two 25-lap races for the featured Modified Division are scheduled Saturday night at Bowman Gray Stadium. Also scheduled are a 50-lap Street Stock race, the longest of the season for that division, as well as two 20-lap Sportsman and two 15-lap Stadium Stock races.
The standings leaders after two racing dates at Bowman Gray are: Tim Brown of Cana, Va. (Modified); Derek Stoltz of Walkertown (Sportsman); John McNeal of Winston-Salem (Street Stock); and Ted Mickalowski of Mocksville (Stadium Stock).
l Justin Hudspeth of Ronda won the featured Crate Late Model Division race Saturday at Friendship Speedway in Elkin and took over the season points lead. Other points leaders are: Jeff Parsons of Union Grove (Limited Sportsman); Billy Robbins of Hamptonville (Four Cylinder); and Derek Mastin of Yadkinville (Renegade V8).
l A $10,000-to-win race Saturday will be part of this weekend's schedule at Farmington Dragway…. Gary Mabe of Danbury (Steel Head Late Model) and Winky McGee of Pilot Mountain (Crate Late Model) were winners at Rolling Thunder Speedway in Ararat, Va., last Friday…. A.J. Sanders of Mocksville won in the Mini Stock Division at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro last Saturday.
