Tyler Zeller has been released by North Carolina's team doctors to do straight-ahead running and shooting in his recovery from a stress fracture in his right foot.

An X-ray and a CAT scan at UNC Hospitals on Monday showed calcium forming in the fracture, an indication of healing, Coach Roy Williams said yesterday. Williams said that if Zeller, a 7-0 sophomore forward, has no pain or setbacks this week that he expects Zeller to be cleared for additional work next week.

With more snow in the forecast for the Washington area yesterday, Maryland postponed tonight's scheduled men's game against Virginia. The game will be made up Feb. 15, with the starting time to be announced. The Maryland campus has been closed since Friday because of snow.
