NFL Notebook: Panthers will be without 'Moose'

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Panthers: Carolina will be without starting receiver Muhsin Muhammad and free safety Charles Godfrey for Sunday's game at Arizona, and reserve tight end Dante Rosario was also ruled out yesterday.

Muhammad missed practice this week with a sprained knee and will likely be replaced by Dwayne Jarrett. Rookie Sherrod Martin could start for Godfrey, who was wearing a cast and was on crutches with an injured right ankle. Rosario has a knee injury.

Cardinals: Arizona's game against Carolina on Sunday has sold out.

After the NFL gave the defending NFC champions a 24-hour extension on the television blackout deadline, the Cardinals announced the sellout yesterday.

The Cardinals said they had just under 1,000 tickets remaining Thursday and the NFL extended the deadline.

Bills: Starting defensive tackle Kyle Williams will miss Buffalo's game against Houston on Sunday because of a knee injury sustained in last week's win over Carolina.

The Bills will also be without starting right tackle Jonathan Scott (ankle), safety Donte Whitner (ankle), fullback Corey McIntyre (knee) and tight end Shawn Nelson (migraine/illness).

Starting quarterback Trent Edwards was ruled out Monday because of a concussion, and backup Ryan Fitzpatrick will make his second straight start.

Jets: Wide receivers Jerricho Cotchery, David Clowney and Brad Smith are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Miami but are expected to play.

Cotchery, the Jets' leading receiver, was injured in practice three weeks ago.
