Prep-Football Roundup: North Davidson downs Reagan

North Davidson 21, Reagan 14: Quarterback Brennan Dodd had two touchdown passes to lead visiting North Davidson past Reagan last night in a Central Piedmont 4-A conference game.

North Davidson dominated defensively in the first three quarters, holding Reagan to a single first down and only 37 yards total offense.

Dodd had two touchdown passes of 23 and 8 yard to receiver Bryce Williams. Ryan Morgan, who carried 22 times for 137 yards, scored the final touchdown for North Davidson on a 12-yard run.

Reagan came alive offensively in the fourth, scoring touchdowns on a 21-yard run by Nick Hatch and a 33-yard pass from quarterback Michael Bonifay to Tyler Fearrington.

East Surry 42, South Stokes 7: Hunter Diamont had 107 total yards and three touchdown runs to help unbeaten East Surry beat South Stokes last night in a Northwest 2-A/1-A game in Pilot Mountain.

Diamont scored the first two touchdowns for East Surry on 29- and 11-yard runs. Andrew Hunter, who carried three times for 42 yards and two touchdowns, added to the lead in the second quarter on a 17-yard run.

South Stokes scored its only touchdown on a 14-yard run by Mason Edwards.

Quarterback Luke Johnson of FCD threw touchdown passes of 3 yards to Nick Sink. and 33 yards to Richard Stockton.

FCD held Charlotte Northside (3-5) to only five first downs and116 yards.

Ledford 35, SW Randolph 14: Steven Fuquay passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another to lead Ledford over Southwest Randolph last night in a Mid-Piedmont 3-A game in Wallburg.

Fuquay completed 18 of 22 passes for 277 yards and no interceptions. Jonathan Greene caught the first touchdown pass, a 40-yarder, to start the scoring in the second quarter. Dee Greene added a 6-yard touchdown run for a 14-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Fuquay scored on an 8-yard run and threw to Dylan Smith on a 55-yard scoring pass to put the game out of reach.

Shelton finished with eight catches for 107 yards and added a 2-yard touchdown run. Smith had seven receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown.

Murphy carried 16 times for 204 yards and four touchdowns. Barr ran for 69 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. He also completed 6 of 10 passes for 100 yards.

Elkin jumped to an early lead with three touchdowns in the first quarter. Jermaine Hayes, who finished with 140 rushing yards, scored the first touchdown on a 71-yard run. Ethan Creed, Elkin's quarterback and kicker, then threw 41-yard touchdown pass to Cass Wilkens. Grayson Kimery, who carried seven times for 108 yards, scored the last touchdown of the quarter on a 37-yard run.
