Deacs top Hokies in men's soccer

BLACKSBURG, Va.

Zack Schilawski scored three goals and added one assist to lead Wake Forest past Virginia Tech 5-1 in an ACC men's soccer match last night.

Kyle Adams and Andy Lubahn scored the other goals for the Deacons (6-2-1, 2-1). Clarke Bentley scored the only goal for Virginia Tech (3-4-2-, 2-1).

Wake Forest outshot Virginia Tech 16-5 and had a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

Akira Fitzgerald played the first half in goal for Wake Forest and made three saves. Michael Lisch played the second half in goal and did not face a shot.

The Deacons scored two goals in the first half and three in the second. Virginia Tech scored in the second half.

Wake Forest is back home on Tuesday night against UNC Greensboro.
