No. 8 Baylor 104, Jacksonville State 45: Baylor freshman Brittney Griner took a lob pass inside with no one around her, turned and became the seventh woman to dunk in a college game with her one-handed slam in the Bears' victory over visiting Jacksonville State last night.
On a set play about five minutes into the game, Griner, 6-8, took a pass from Kelli Griffin on the right and dunked with her right hand. By then, the Bears (3-1) already had a 17-3 lead.
No. 21 Vanderbilt 59, Saint Josephs 46: Hannah Tuomi scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Vanderbilt pulled away midway through the second half for a victory over Saint Josephs in Philadelphia last night.

Williamson's 16 points were a season high, and she added eight rebounds. Freshman guard Monique Spry added 13 for Campbell, including 10 in the first half. Spry, a Wilson, native, also posted three rebounds and three assists.
Peace College 68, Piedmont Baptist 59: Piedmont Baptist overcame a 20-point deficit and came as close as six points before losing to Peace College in Raleigh last night.
Kirby Hill led the Conquerors with 17 points, including two 3-pointers. Emily and Erica Buffaloe also scored in double figures, contributing 12 and 11 points, respectively.
