Vikings fall in soccer playoffs

Chris Gillespie and Chipper Root scored two goals apiece last night, and Chapel Hill defeated North Forsyth 5-2 in the second round of the NCHSAA Class 3-A soccer playoffs.

John Dwyer also scored a goal for Chapel Hill, which took a 3-1 halftime lead.

Root also made two assists.

Chapel Hill outshot North Forsyth 16-5. Juan Arristizabal made three saves for Chapel Hill, and Hector Perales had two for North.

Chapel Hill (16-7-1) will play the Burlington Williams-Southern Lee winner in next week's third round. North finished 13-8-2.
