■ Josh Rathburn came alive in the fourth quarter and helped Bishop McGuinness to a 33-32 win over West Stokes last Friday.
McGuinness trailed 26-7 early in the third quarter but came back when Rathburn connected on two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Thomas Lawler.
Rathburn then scored the winning touchdown on a 1-yard run with 1.7 seconds left.
■ Brad Morton, Mount Tabor's senior quarterback, had his best game of the season in a 33-14 win over North Davidson. He accounted for all five of the Spartans' touchdowns, passing for four and running for a 10-yard score.
Morton went long on two of his touchdown passes -- 80 yards to D.J. McCain and 45 yards to Willie Ashford and finished 14 for 22 passing for 250 yards. He also led the Spartans with 95 yards rushing.
■ Joe Watson of Davie County had a breakout game in a 33-2 win over Reagan, catching touchdown passes of 26, 23 and 15 yards and finishing with 107 receiving yards.
■ Quarterback Craven Knotts and receiver Jake Gainey of Reynolds have developed a bond this season, and it came into play Friday, when Reynolds defeated West Forsyth 14-9 in a Central Piedmont 4-A game between unbeaten teams.
Knotts connected with Gainey on touchdown passes of 31 and 42 yards in the fourth quarter, the second one coming with 27 seconds left, as Reynolds moved to 10-0 and locked up at least a share of the CPC title.
■ Seth Constable helped Forsyth Country Day cap a 7-3 regular season with a 45-22 win at Southlake Christian.
Constable scored on runs of 8, 16 and 11 yards and finished with 100 yards on 12 carries to help the Furies lock up a home game in the NCISAA's Division II playoffs.
■ Jonathan Reid of Ledford put the stamp on a 24-6 win over Southern Guilford with three fourth-quarter interceptions, including one that he returned 65 yards for a touchdown.
■ Trey Hayes and Ethan Creed helped Elkin nail down a crucial 41-8 Mountain-Valley 2-A/1-A win over Wilkes Central. Hayes rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Creed rushed for a score and passed to Damon Smith for a 51-yard touchdown as the Buckin' Elks took over second place in the conference.
