No. 3 Kentucky 88, Drexel 44: DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson scored 18 points apiece and Kentucky became the first team in NCAA history to reach the 2,000-win plateau with a win against Drexel last night in Lexington, Ky.
Kentucky improved to 2,000-631-1 in 107 seasons. North Carolina is next on the list with 1,992 wins while Kansas has 1,980.
The Wildcats did it in style, taking control early behind the play of Cousins and John Wall to improve to 12-0. Wall finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Samme Givens led Drexel (6-6) with 11 points, but the Dragons shot just 31 percent from the field and spent most of the game as invited guests to Kentucky's celebration.

No. 12 Kansas State 90, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 76: Jacob Pullen had 18 points, Dominique Sutton added 14 and Kansas State beat winless Arkansas-Pine Bluff last night in Manhattan, Kan.

Virginia 68, New Jersey Tech 37: Jeff Jones scored 11 points to lead Virginia past New Jersey Institute of Technology last night in Charlottesville, Va.
Sylven Landesberg chipped in with 10 points for the Cavaliers (5-4), while Assane Sene added 11 rebounds. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Virginia.
The Cavaliers ended the first half with an 8-0 run, and went into halftime with a 32-19 lead. In the second half, the lead ballooned to 28 points, as Virginia used a 14-2 run to take a 61-33 lead with 5:05 left in the game.
Jheryl Wilson led the Highlanders (3-8) with 11 points on 3-of-11 shooting.

Miami 80, N.C. A&T 59: Malcolm Grant scored 14 points to lead Miami past N.C. A&T last night in Coral Gables, Fla.

Davidson 61, Hofstra 52: Jake Cohen scored 18 points, including a three-point play with 45 seconds left, and Davidson beat Hofstra in the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden last night.

South Carolina 81, Furman 57: Devan Downey and Sam Muldrow scored 16 points apiece to lead South Carolina past Furman last night in Columbia.

Ball State 59, N.C. Central 45: Malik Perry scored 17 points to lead Ball State past N.C. Central last night in Muncie, Ind.

Wofford 68, UNC Asheville 42: Noah Dahlman scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, including eight on offense, to lead Wofford to a win in Asheville yesterday.

Chattanooga 84, Tennessee Temple 52: DeAntre Jefferson scored 13 points to help Chattanooga defeat visiting Tennessee Temple last night.
Jefferson led five Mocs in double figures as Ty Patterson scored 12 points, Jeremy Saffore added 11, and Ricky Taylor and Jeff Smith each chipped in 10.
Chattanooga (6-6) use a 12-2 run to break an early 6-6 tie and take an 18-8 lead on two free throws by Chris Early with 9:52 left in the first half.
The Mocs turned the ball over 21 times — their highest total in six games — but shot a season-best 54.5 percent from the field (30 of 55) and outrebounded the Crusaders 43-28.
Chattanooga scored 53 points off the bench, and had 11 players score with nine playing at least 10 minutes.
Tennessee Temple (6-9) shot just 29.5 percent (18 of 61) and had only one player in double figures. Johnnie McLawhorn scored 15 points for the Crusaders.
