Wake Forest blanks GWU

BLACKSBURG, Va.

Allie Sadow scored a goal and added an assist as Wake Forest defeated George Washington 2-0 last night in the Hawthorn Suites Hokie Invitational at Virginia Tech.

Sadow scored at 17:15, an unassisted goal that went into the bottom corner of the net.

The Deacons (4-0) added an insurance goal at 39:25 when Jill Hutchinson scored off an assist from Sadow.

The Deacons outshot the Colonials (1-3) by 14-3.

Wake Forest will play its second game of the tournament on Sunday at 11 a.m. against No. 11 Texas A&M.
