Arbor Acres needs volunteers

Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community needs volunteer drivers and escorts for its residents for on-campus and off-campus trips. The trips would be in the Winston-Salem area during the day and occasionally in the evening or on weekends.

Hispanic League annual meeting set

The Hispanic League will hold its annual meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Allegacy Federal Credit Union, 1691 Westbrook Plaza Drive.

The 2011 board of directors and 2012 board nominees will be introduced. Memberships are $25 and $15 for students.

ECHO Network names new board members

The ECHO (Everyone Can Help Out) Network has appointed four new members to its board of directors. They are Adolfo Briceno, Robbie Chandler, Alana James and Daphne Holmes-Johnson.

Piedmont Craftsmen elects board members

Piedmont Craftsmen Inc. says its supporting and exhibiting members have elected new and returning members to its board of trustees. New members are: Megan Clark, an exhibiting member, Raleigh; Kathy Cooper, an exhibiting member, Winston-Salem; Paige Cox, an exhibiting member, Greensboro; Susan Friedman, a supporting member, Clemmons; Hansford Johnson, a supporting member, Winston-Salem; Zina Johnson, a supporting member, Winston-Salem; Karen Morgan, a supporting member, Winston-Salem; Andrew Sachs, a supporting member, Winston-Salem; Pam Short, a supporting member, Winston-Salem; and Annie Van Every, an exhibiting member, Winston-Salem.

Members elected for a second term are: Larry Bohannon, an exhibiting member, Winston-Salem; Barbara Eure, a supporting member, Pfafftown; and Anne Howard Shelburne, a supporting member, Winston-Salem.

They will join returning board members: Marvette Aldrich, Kitty Amos, Carolyn L.
