Kathy Bruce, Lewisville's finance officer and assistant town manager, has been named the interim town manager effective March 1.
The Lewisville Town Council appointed Bruce to the position during a meeting earlier this month.
She will take over for Cecil Wood, who is retiring at the end of the month. Town officials are undergoing a search with the help of the Piedmont Regional Council to find a successor for Wood.
Wood has been town manager since 2006 and previously served as county manager in Wilkes and Yadkin counties.
