It's been unseasonably warm all year, but don't put away those sweaters just yet.
An arctic cold front is expected to move into the area this weekend, the National Weather Service said this morning.
The cold front is expected to move in Saturday, accompanied by wind gusts that could reach 35 miles per hour. Wind chills will fall into the tens and 20s Saturday afternoon, and the overnight low in Winston-Salem will be about 20 degrees, the weather service said.
The cold weather will continue through Sunday with lows again in the low 20s.
That will be a sharp contrast compared to Thursday's and Friday's weather. In the Triad, Thursday's high is expected to be 49 degrees, and the high Friday is expected to reach 57.
