The mountain counties of Northwest North Carolina could get some snow today, the National Weather Service said this morning.
Accumulation is expected to be light in most places but could be between 1 to 3 inches at elevations above 3,000 feet.
In the Triad, the weather service forecast calls for a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., then becoming sunny with a high of 50.
