Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame honors Emmylou Harris, others

WILKESBORO – The Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame Wednesday announced that this years' inductees are singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris; regional musician Jens Kruger; songwriter Jim Lauderdale, a Statesville native; fiddler Jim Shumate, and traditional dancer Willard Watson.    

The Wilkes Heritage Museum will host the fourth annual Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony June 11 at the Stone Center for the Performing Arts, 613 Cherry Street, North Wilkesboro. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., and the evening includes a ceremony and live performances by Kruger, Shumate, Lauderdale and others.
