Pawpaw festival

A pawpaw festival will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds Farmers Market. Master gardener volunteers and local growers will discuss growing pawpaws and will have free food made with pawpaws for the public to taste. The festival is free and open to the public.

Fruit-growing forum

Marcia Wood, a master gardener, will discuss growing fruit, with a special emphasis on growing grapes, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Reynolda Manor Library Branch, 2839 Fairlawn Drive. Topics will include soil preparation, vines, pruning and harvesting. The program is free and open to the public.

Free crochet class

A class in crocheting will be offered at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Lewisville Branch Library, 6490 Shallowford Road. Robin McBride, a crochet expert, will be the instructor. The class is free and open to the public.

Fall lawn-care talk

Karen Neill, an agent with the Forsyth County Extension Service, will discuss fall lawn care at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park. Topics will include starting a new lawn, and the maintenance and renovation of an existing lawn. The program is free and open to the public.

Energy-use workshop

A workshop on home-energy efficiency will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Reynolda Manor Library Branch, 2839 Fairlawn Drive. Topics will include home-energy audits, basic weatherization projects, and federal tax credits and programs. The program is free and open to the public.
