Here are some of the next steps as Forsyth County considers a new Central Library:
• Oct. 8: Voter-registration deadline for Nov. 2 general election.
• Oct. 14: Early voting begins.
• Oct. 30: Early voting ends.
• Nov. 2: $40 million bond request before voters on Election Day.
If voters approve the library bond, future steps are:*
• April 2011: Four-month period for public feedback on the new site ends.
• August 2011: Decision made to move forward at a new site or at the current location.
• September 2011 to February 2013: Design and construction.
