Candlelight ghost tours and paranormal conference are coming to Wilkesboro

WILKESBORO — Candlelight ghost tours of downtown Wilkesboro and a paranormal conference are coming to the Wilkes Heritage Museum.

The ghost tours will be Oct. 22 and 23, beginning at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. at the old Wilkes jail, 203 North Bridge St., behind the museum. Each walking tour is led by a costumed guide, and takes about 45 minutes. Cost is $5.

The “Haunted Wilkes: Tricks and Tools of the Trade Paranormal Conference” will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Wilkes Heritage Museum in the old courthouse. Cost is $50 for the conference, which also includes a ghost tour and ghost hunt that evening.
