One southbound lane of U.S. 52 is likely to remain closed during the morning commute because of an overturned tractor-trailer, police said this morning.
The truck has blocked part of the roadway near Ziglar Road since it overturned about 9 p.m.
Police said the driver of the truck, Dennis Dale Rogers, is from Kentucky and was carrying frozen food when he overturned after going off the right side of the highway. Rogers was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for treatment of injuries that police described as minor.
The morning commute could also be hampered this morning by dense fog. The National Weather Service said this morning that patches of fog will reduce visibilities in some areas to less than a quarter of a mile.
