The driver of a car that struck two bicyclists — killing one — on a Stokes County road Friday is facing two charges.
Linda Childs Sink, 51, of King, is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to reduce speed, according to court records.
Sink was driving on Trinity Church Road near U.S. 52 Friday morning when she struck bicyclists Donald Sunday, 62, and Barry Leonard, 49, the N.C. Highway Patrol said. Sunday died at the scene. Leonard was treated at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
The bicyclists were riding in single file at the time and were struck from behind, the highway patrol said.
Sink was not jailed on the charges, Stokes County jail officials said.
