The Yadkin River is flooding the BB&T soccer fields off U.S. 158 and an area in Davie County, authorities said. There are no reports of injuries or significant damage.

The river was running 25 feet high at 6:30 a.m. today, said John Tomko, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C. The river's flood stage is 18 feet.

"The whole river is running high," Tomko said.

Forecasters expect the river to recede by Wednesday, Tomko said. The soccer fields are just across the Forsyth-Davie county line in eastern Davie. The community of Yadkin College, which is nine miles northwest of Lexington, is also flooded.

Dispatchers in Davie and Davidson say that there are no reports of injuries. Creeks and streams flooded several rural roads in Davidson, a dispatcher said.
