Winston-Salem man accused of first-degree sex offense with 9-year-old

A Winston-Salem man was charged with three counts of first-degree sex offense with a child and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, and is being held in lieu of $1 million bond, police said this morning.

David Lee Wilson Sr., 53, was charged after police investigated an accusation made Friday afternoon that he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old.

The police said as a result of followup investigation, Wilson was arrested Sunday. The police said incidents occurred between Dec. 1 last year and Jan. 1. The police said Wilson is not related to the victim or her family.

Wilson is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22.
