Six Haitian orphans arrived in the United States yesterday, four days after Haitian police seized them out of fear that they were being kidnapped.

The children arrived on a charter flight to Miami International Airport. They will be taken to a shelter, and their new parents can take the children home today, said Jan Bonnema, the Minnesota-based founder of the Children of The Promise orphanage.
