IN RELIGION
l The senior class of Calvary Baptist Day School recently returned from a weeklong mission trip to a refugee community in San Jose, Costa Rica.
While in La Carpio, the students helped build the second floor of a section of a church. Half of the students worked in construction, while the others ministered to the children in the community through a Vacation Bible School event.
Bonding with the La Carpio community was a special and rewarding experience that allows CBDS to put its core beliefs to practice.
This trip is a CBDS tradition that began in 2000. In addition to the service and ministry given by seniors each year, the school has provided funds in excess of $60,000 over the past ten years.
