RALEIGH
Corporate leaders, technology forecasters and politicians are coming together for an annual North Carolina summit on big ideas.
The 25th annual Emerging Issues Forum kicks off in Raleigh on Monday with this year's focus on how society can enhance creative thinking and embrace new ideas.
The two-day forum, sponsored by N.C. State University and former Gov. Jim Hunt, annually brings together public policy leaders to discuss looming challenges.
Organizers say this year's focus on creativity aims at making it the foundation for how North Carolina lives, works and plays.
Guest speakers include Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, jazz singer Nnenna Freelon and Daniel Pink, author of best-selling books about the changing world of work.
