Winston-Salem man and woman arrested on cocaine trafficking charges

Winston-Salem police arrested a man and woman Friday on charges of trafficking of cocaine and other related charges, arrest warrants showed.

Duron Denard Simmons, 33, and Shaunta Joanne Davis, 31, both of 1101 Rundell Street were charged with trafficking between 28 and 200 grams of cocaine, as well as possession of up to ½ ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling place for the purpose of selling drugs, arrest warrants showed.

Davis was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon,.

Both Davis and Simmons were being held last night at the Forsyth County jail with bond set at $1 million each.

They are each scheduled to appear in court Feb. 25.
