The Brushy Mountain Apple Festival will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in downtown North Wilkesboro. The festival is one of the largest one-day arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast, and will include music, food, crafts, apple pies, apple jam and lots of apples.
Though the festival is free, visitors should expect to pay to park. Many civic clubs, churches and other organizations raise money with parking.
Music starts at 10 a.m. A pre-festival Apple Jam will offer live music from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
The festival is the largest fundraiser for the Brushy Mountain Ruritan Club. For more information, visit www.applefestival.net.
