Davidson County man faces sexual assault charges

A Davidson County man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex offenses involving children, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.

Herbert James DeLosh, 54, of 204 Gordon Lane in Lexington, was arrested on Sunday.

According to a sheriff's office report, deputies responded to a civil dispute at Pine Meadow Drive in Lexington. People there told them that two children, ages 8 and 9 had been sexually assaulted. Detectives were called in to investigate allegations of assaults between June 1 and Sept. 13.

DeLosh was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree sex offense with a child and one count of indecent liberties with a child. He is being held in the Davidson County jail bond set at $300,000. A court date is scheduled for Oct. 5.
