Arrest made in shooting

YANCEYVILLE -- Authorities charged a Caswell County man with shooting two juveniles Saturday, WGHP/FOX8 reported.

John Clyde Fuqua, 52, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, Caswell County Sheriff's officials said.

Deputies say that shortly before 5 p.m. Fuqua fired a gun and hit two juveniles near Brown Road in the Leasburg community, where he lives. A third juvenile was present but not physically injured, the sheriff's office said.

The two victims were treated on the scene by emergency medical personnel for nonlife-threatening injuries, then taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

The investigation is continuing, authorities said
