Elkin woman dies after trouble during undersea dive in Florida

ELKIN — An Elkin woman died at a Florida hospital Friday, Nov. 13 after she had trouble while on a commercial dive, WGHP/FOX8 reported.
Johnsie Hudspeth, 59, was diving offshore Key Largo, Fla. with a commercial dive trip when she surfaced indicating she was in distress, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.
Hudspeth was rushed to shore, where she was conscious and breathing, but she later died at a local hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Services for Hudspeth will be at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
