Prep football playoffs update

Three days of heavy rain that soaked football fields across Northwest North Carolina have forced scheduling changes for some of Friday's first-round games in the NCHSAA playoffs.
Four area games have been rescheduled as of mid-day Friday, with all four set to kick off at 7:30 Saturday. Those games are — Western Guilford at Mount Tabor, Watauga at Ragsdale, East Rutherford at Thomasville and North Wilkes at Albemarle.
Also, Forsyth Country Day's semifinal game at Concord First Assembly in the NCISAA Division II playoffs has been postponed, but a new date, site and time had not been set as of noon Friday.
Elsewhere the majority of NCHSAA postponements are in the East brackets.
