Wendi Uselton, a write-in candidate, won one of two seats on the Danbury Town Council. According to complete but unofficial results from the Stokes County Board of Elections, Uselton picked up 30 votes, making her the top vote getter in what had been a three-person race. The other winner was Olivia Nelson Shelton, who had 28 votes. Shelton and Uselton edged Rebecca Sullivan, who had 24 votes, and John Turbin, who had 16. In the mayoral election, Janet Whitt edged incumbent Jane Priddy Charleville by a 30 to 29 margin. The election was Whitt's first foray into politics.
