Whitaker defeats Lasky to win the mayor's race

K. Scott Whitaker received 155 votes in defeating Richard Lasky to win the mayor's race Tuesday . Lasky received 47 votes in the nonpartisan elections , according to complete but unofficial results.

Whitaker will serve a four-year term.

Incumbents Janet Matthews and Gerald Brown were re-elected to the town's board of commissioners. Matthew had 170 votes, and Brown had 158 votes. Russell Miller finished third with 63 votes.

Matthews and Brown will serve four-year terms.
