A Lewisville man was hit by a bullet Saturday night when someone shot into his home on Shallowford Road, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said.
George Bargoil, 55, and his wife were in bed when they heard gunshots about 11:50 p.m., said Maj. Brad Stanley, a spokesman for the sheriff's office.
Bargoil got up, and that's when a bullet hit him in the arm, Stanley said.
Bargoil was taken by ambulance to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Bargoil wouldn't comment when reached yesterday, saying sheriff's deputies asked him not to.
Investigators are hoping for tips about the shootings, Stanley said. "We don't have a lot to go on at this point," he said.

High Point man found to be pilot in fatal crash
ARCHDALE --Authorities have released the name of the pilot killed when a small plane crashed near Archdale's Darr Airport Saturday.
Donald Earl Marks, 62, of High Point died when the plane crashed shortly after 9 a.m. at the airfield off Trindale Road near N.C. 62, Archdale police said yesterday.
When police officers arrived, they found the single-occupant plane engulfed in fire with the pilot still inside.
Officers told WGHP/FOX 8 that it appeared the plane hit power lines, a tree and the top of a house before coming down in the field.
Witnesses said that the pilot was practicing touch-and-go landings at the airport, and no one noticed the sound of the engine having any trouble, the television station reported.
State and federal agencies are continuing to investigate, police said.
Miss Raleigh wins Miss N.C. pageant
RALEIGH -- A woman who relearned how to dance after having surgery for a curved spine has been named Miss North Carolina.
Miss Raleigh, Elizabeth Southard, was crowned Saturday night during a ceremony in Raleigh. Southard suffered from scoliosis, an abnormal curvature of the spine.
She says she had surgery two years ago. After having 21 years of dance training, she had to relearn dancing.
Saturday, she was in a three-way tie for first place in the talent competition with her ballet en pointe performance of "Fascinating Rhythm."
She won a $12,000 scholarship and will compete for the Miss America title in January in Las Vegas.
‘Roadshow' appraisal record set in Raleigh
RALEIGH -- The popular PBS series Antiques Roadshow set an appraisal record in Raleigh, when a collection of Chinese jade was valued at possibly more than $1 million.
Show publicist Erika Denn says the four pieces of jade from the period of 1736 to 1795 was valued at from $710,000 to $1.07 million. That breaks the previous record of $500,000 set last year in Palm Springs, Calif., for a painting by abstract expressionist Clyfford Still.
An unidentified woman from Eastern North Carolina owns the jade, which she brought to the show early Saturday morning.
The show also drew 34,000 requests for tickets, besting the previous record of 29,000 tickets for a show in San Jose, Calif., that will be held later this summer. Denn says 6,400 tickets were distributed in Raleigh.
2 bears in Dare County know how to find chips
NAGS HEAD -- Two black bears living in coastal Dare County have become so accustomed to being fed by humans that they respond to the sound of a potato-chip bag being crinkled.
Officials say the bears go on the highways that cross the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge to eat food that's either litter or intentionally thrown at them.
Refuge biologist Dennis Stewart says the crinkle of a potato chip bag will get the attention of both bears, one of which hangs out off U.S. 264 near Stumpy Point and the other off U.S. 64 near East Lake.
Officials say black bears are generally shy and feeding them probably dooms them by modifying their behavior.
