HIGH POINT
A pedestrian struck in a train-car collision has died at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
The Greensboro News & Record of Greensboro reported that the man died Wednesday. His name has not been released.
Authorities said that the crash happened around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday after the car went into reverse and onto the tracks. The train struck the car, which then struck the man.
The conditions of the people in the car and train were not immediately known. A call to a High Point Police Department spokesman was not immediately returned.
