A former drama teacher at Mineral Springs Middle School charged with sexual misconduct with a student has been charged with 10 additional counts involving a second victim, authorities said Monday.
Ralph David Surridge, 57, was charged Friday with five new counts of indecent liberties and five new counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Forsyth County Sheriff Maj. Brad Stanley said the crimes occurred between September 2005 and February 2006 and involve a second student at the school.
Surridge was charged in October with five counts of indecent liberties with a child, three counts of taking indecent liberties with a student, and one count each of sexual offense with a student and statutory sexual offense with a minor.
Surridge originally faced a $2 million bond but that was lowered to $700,000. The 10 new counts include an additional $200,000 bond, bringing his current bond amount to $900,000.
Surridge was fired from his teaching job in November.
