Robbers steal narcotics from Danbury pharmacy


Two men robbed a Danbury pharmacy Friday, taking narcotics and forcing the employees into a bathroom.

The robbery occurred just after 6 p.m. at the Stokes Pharmacy on N.C. 89, Stokes County authorities said. The two men, wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts, entered the store just before closing. One of the men pulled out a handgun, and the robbers demanded that the pharmacists give them narcotics.

After getting the drugs, the robbers forced the employees into a bathroom and fled the store.

A detailed description of the robbers was not provided. The type and amount of narcotics stolen was not disclosed.
