The burglary case involving the son of a Clemmons dentist who was recently acquitted on charges he killed his wife, was postponed today in Davie Superior Court.
Gilbert Richard Turner, 23, had been accused of breaking into his parents' house and stealing several items.
It is not clear when the case will be heard.
Turner was arrested March 2. According to indictments, Turner broke into the house and stole a big-screen television, a DVD player, two Oreck purifiers and several gold coins.
On Aug. 21, a Davie County jury found Gilbert Turner's father, Dr. Kirk Alan Turner, not guilty by reason of self-defense on a charge of first-degree murder. Kirk Turner was accused of killing his wife, Jennifer Jean Wittwer Turner, with a pocketknife nearly two years ago.
His defense attorneys had argued that Turner was defending himself after his wife attacked him with a 7-foot-long spear.
