Mans pleads guilty in federal court to sex-trafficking

A man has pleaded guilty in federal court in Charlotte to charges that he trafficked undocumented Latino women and girls for commercial sex.
The U.S. Justice Department said 44-year-old Jorge Flores-Rojas pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of sex trafficking of minor females and one count of transporting an adult female for the purpose of commercial sex.
Flores-Rojas said in court that last November he transported an adult woman and a girl from Charlotte to Washington, D.C., so that they could perform paid sex acts. The women and girls were citizens of Mexico and Honduras who are in the country illegally.
Flores-Rojas is a Mexican citizen who's also in the country illegally.
His sentence will be between 10 years and life in prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
