MIDWAY — An 85-year-old man died yesterday after the lawnmower he was riding fell on top of him, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office said today.
Max Sizemore of 535 Eller Road was collecting leaves with the lawnmower on a steep incline in the back of his son's house, which is next door at 477 Eller Road, said Capt. Terry Whitman of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. He was riding the lawnmower when he lost control and the lawnmower turned over top of him. Sizemore's son found his body about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday after he got home from work, Whitman said.
