CHAPEL HILL - Police identified the jogger who was struck and killed by a bus as an exchange student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A statement from Chapel Hill police today said Lisa Carolyn Moran, who was from Scotland, was jogging through south campus on Manning Drive just before 11 a.m. Thursday when the bus struck her as she tried to cross the street.
Police said there was no designated crosswalk at the scene of the accident.
Capt. Jackie Carden said the woman was transported to UNC Hospitals, where she died.
