»  Comments | Post a Comment

A commuter jet had to make an emergency landing at Piedmont Triad International Airport this morning after one of its engines failed, airport director Ted Johnson said.
The US Airways flight landed safely about 10:30 a.m., Johnson said. He did not know where the flight was coming from, but PTIA appeared to be its final destination, he said.
Johnson said the plane was a small jet that carries about 50 people. He did not know how many passengers were on the flight.
No one was injured, Johnson said.
