More than 1,000 students will receive their degrees during commencement Sunday at Appalachian State University.
Graduation for students receiving degrees from the Reich College of Education, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the University College, Appalachian's newest degree-granting college, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Holmes Convocation Center on campus.
Students receiving a degree from the Walker College of Business, the College of Fine and Applied Arts and the Hayes School of Music will participate in a 2 p.m. ceremony, also in the Holmes Convocation Center.
The guest speaker will be lieutenant governor-elect Walter Dalton.
