Mocksville pastor charged with soliciting sex acts

The pastor of a Mocksville church was among the four men charged with soliciting for sex acts at Hobby Park off Clemmonsville Road.
Thompson Gregory Little, 43, of Mocksville is the pastor of Cornerstone Christian Church on N.C. 801.
"It's going to be a contested case," said J.D. Byers, Little's attorney. "I don't think what is alleged to have happened happened."
Little was issued a citation at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 4, along with three other men — James Franklin Wiggins, 31, of Winston-Salem; Clayton Ray Ashley, 45, of Winston-Salem; and Williams James O' Reilly, 64, of High Point. They were all charged with soliciting crimes against nature.
The arrests were the result of an undercover investigation at Hobby Park, said Sgt. Rick Newnum, a supervisor of the Street Crimes unit of the Winston-Salem Police Department.
He declined to provide details of the allegations. All four men were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court Jan. 14.
Members of Cornerstone Christian Church have been calling about the case, Newnum said.
When reached at the church, Little said he had done nothing wrong. He said he has not been suspended from the church.
"My comment is we're looking to have it dismissed and I'm innocent," he said.
He declined to comment further.
According to the church's Web site, the church was formed in 2004 and serves more than 180 families in an average week.
Byers said Little is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
"I hope that the church will reserve judgment until the court system has a chance to run its course," he said.
